How it works

The first five minutes set the box. A name stays in play only if that range closes green on at least twice its usual opening volume.

The breakout
A one-minute close above the range high and VWAP is a setup. The stop goes at the range low, 0.3–3 % away. Size is 1 % of equity at risk, capped by free cash above your cash floor.

The stop moves to breakeven at +1R, a close under VWAP exits after +1R, and 2R is the target. Stops and targets run on code alone; they never wait for an answer.

Jev is TypeSafe's System One model, reached through the Vercel AI Gateway. It isn't a chatbot: it returns a probability for every option plus a confidence, a rubric score, or a yes-probability — never prose. It is weak at arithmetic, so TICKERSMITH does every calculation and hands Jev the numbers and plain-English buckets.

Does TICKERSMITH trade real money?
Not unless you switch it on. TICKERSMITH starts in paper mode: a local paper account with fills at the live bid and ask. Going live means linking Robinhood's Agentic Trading, choosing the account and flipping the mode — and checking the pattern-day-trader rules for your account first.
What is Jev, exactly?
TypeSafe's System One model, reached through the Vercel AI Gateway. It answers typed questions — a choice with a probability for each option and a confidence, a rubric score, or a yes-probability. TICKERSMITH acts only when the confidence clears your threshold.
What do I need to run it?
An Apple Silicon Mac that stays awake from 09:20 to 16:00 ET on trading days, a Robinhood account connected through Robinhood's Agentic Trading (it supplies quotes, one-minute bars, the scanner and news, even in paper mode), and a Vercel AI Gateway key for Jev.
What does Jev cost?
At list price, $0.042 per million input tokens with output free. A decision is about 2,000 tokens, so a day of trading costs around a cent. Hard caps of $50 a month and $3 a day are checked before every call, and you can see each call's cost in the app.
Can it lose money?
Yes. Breakouts fail, and exits are app-side market orders checked every 15 seconds, so a fast move can fill past the stop. Paper fills at the bid and ask are kinder than a real fast market. TICKERSMITH is a tool for disciplined practice, not a promise of returns.
What leaves my Mac?
When you sign in: closed trades, daily results, device status (paper or live, armed or not), your watchlist and a backup of your strategy settings. Your Robinhood credentials and your AI Gateway key never leave the Keychain.
Is TICKERSMITH affiliated with Robinhood?
No. TICKERSMITH uses Robinhood's Agentic Trading with your own account. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Robinhood, TypeSafe or Vercel.
